Story behind the recipe:
The Chef LOVES a French Onion Dip Sandwich and Allergy Girl has only had one once or twice in her life when she was a young girl. Chef knew exactly how he wanted to make it and on the first try it came out perfectly. Together they cooked this meal as a team, but the recipe was all the Chef's creation. This sandwich is a great way to mix things up for lunch or dinner. It's easy and yet super impressive taste and look wise for if you want to impress someone. The ingredients may seem overly simple, but this exact mixture creates something rich and complex, it's definitely a treat.
We love this with our veggie Tempuras! We highly recommend you try it and its VERY easy to make. Making Tempura sounds daunting, we know, but it couldn't be easier or more simple. Plus when's the last time you had gluten free dairy free tempura? For Allergy Girl it had been just as long as the French Dip Sandwich. Such a special treat and an exciting discovery! If you aren't a fan of dipping the tempura in the French Dip (Allergy Girl does, Chef prefers something more salty), we recommend a soy sauce of your choice.
